The very first tip!

Hey, what's up guys?

So, this is my very first "real" post on this blog - just read the tip below :)

As many of you know, there are a lot of applications out there that can help you "save money". It doesn't, of course, save the money for you, but it keeps track of what you do with your money.

This application that I'm going to talk to you about is a quite well known application, called simply "Money".
This application is however not avaliable to Windows, only Mac OS X, sadly.

Anyways, this program has saved me a whole bunch of money. What it does is to keep track of where, how and when you spend your money. As well as how much money you did spend.
It also gives you a brief idea of how much money you spend on different things every day. For example, if you spent 50€ on groceries, you'll get home and write this in your application, and then after some time, you'll get to see how you spend your money and what you can save in the future!

"Your money comes and goes from your wallet, your bank account, and your share-trading account. How do you keep track of it all? Because Money 4 supports so many different types of accounts, you can neatly capture every detail. Create separate accounts for your bank accounts, cash, credit cards, investments, and loans to balance your accounting with grace."
App Store: Money - Your sweetest accounting application

This program costs 14,99€ (as of 7.8.2011) and is avaliable on App Store for Mac OS X.
However, all of you who use Windows, don't be disappointed! I'll write about Windows applications for money saving too.

So, go check this program out, it's great. I've been using it for some time now, and it really paints up a picture of how much money you spend on things.
I'm saving around 80€ every month using this program. Take 80 x 12 = 960€, that's almost 1000€ a year! That's approx. 1426 USD a year.
Think of all the things you can do with that money.

You could buy almost 400 oranges with all that money... :)
